Classes 1 to 3

Subjects: English, Maths, Urdu, General Knowledge, Global Outlook, Islamiat, Art and Computer Studies. Music lessons are also part of the curriculum.
Assessment: Assessment in English, Maths and Urdu is based on classwork, homework and quarterly tests. In Social Studies, Art, Computer Studies and Islamiat, assessment is based on classwork alone. In Science, for Class 1, the assessment basis is classwork and for Class 2 and Class 3 it is classwork, homework and quarterly tests.
Single National Curriculum: In compliance with the Government's SNC initiative, BHS aims to introduce SNC aligned books for Classes Pre-1 till Class 5 in the academic session 2021-22. Instead of Science and Social Studies, General Knowledge and Global Outlook have been introduced.
CLASSES 1 TILL 7
Classes 4 and 5

Subjects: English, Maths, Urdu, Science, Islamiat, Art, Computer Studies and Social Studies. Music lessons stop after Class 4.
Assessment: In these classes quarterly examinations are conducted in English, Maths, Urdu and Science. Assessment in these subjects is based on classwork, homework and examination results.
In Social Studies (History and Geography) and Islamiat, students are assessed on the basis of classwork and homework. In all other subjects assessment is based on classwork alone.

Classes 6 and 7

Assessment: For Class 6 examinations are conducted in English, Maths, Urdu and Science. For Class 7 examinations are conducted in English, Maths, Urdu and Science, Geography & Islamiat. Assessment in these subjects is based on classwork, homework and examination results.
In Class 6 History, Geography and Islamiat, and in Class 7 History, students are assessed on the basis of classwork and homework. In all other subjects, assessment is based on classwork alone.
Promotion to the next class depends on annual performance as well as the final quarter examination results. Special weight is given to English language, Maths and Science.
